Inclusion Health and Homelessness Mental Health Nurse - Band 6

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to be part of a 1-year pilot providing care to people experiencing homelessness in South Norfolk & Broadland.

The role will be part of the Inclusion Health and Homelessness Team (IHHT) working alongside South Norfolk and Broadland District Council.

We are looking for a creative, innovative practitioner with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be supporting people who are often unable to access mainstream services and require a flexible, proactive, and holistic approach in order to overcome these barriers.

Main duties of the job

The Inclusion Health and Homelessness Adult Mental Health Team are looking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Mental Health Nurse for 0.6 part time hours .

The successful candidates will hold a current Professional qualification as a Registered Nurse with an appetite for creative thinking in the face of challenges, a mind prepared for early adoption of change and innovation. Person specification

Qualification

Essential criteria
  • Nursing degree or equivalent, Dip OT, Clinical Psychology or equivalent
  • Ongoing professional development working towards degree level
  • Practice Assessor and Practice Supervisor training (NMC registrants) or Practice Educator (AHP & Social Worker Registrants)
Experience

Essential criteria
  • Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge of mental health practice from previous experience
  • Demonstrate effective risk assessment and risk management experience
Skills

Essential criteria
  • Competent assessment skills
Desirable criteria
  • Able to time manage and reflect on clinical practice
