Title: Neighbourhood Housing Lead (RPEEPs)

Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, Full Time, 35 hours

Salary: £37,451 per annum to £41,045 per annum (London weighted salary) dependant on experience plus ECU allowance if policy requirements are met.

Grade: 7

Reporting Office: Stratford, London

Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday - 09:00 - 17:00

Join our Housing Management Team at L&Q:

An opportunity has arisen for a 12 month secondment.

  • This is a brand new role to support the delivery of the Residential Emergency Evacuation Plans (RPEEPs). RPEEPs goes a step further than a standard Person Centered Risk Assessment (PCRA) and aims to include identifying measures to support a resident who is unable to self-evacuate.
  • As a Neighbourhood Housing Lead - RPEEPs, you will be expected to play an integral role in delivering the new regulation, including carrying out an RPEEPs PCRA with residents where a resident has requested it as well as supporting with the administrative functions related to the delivery of RPEEPs. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the wider housing management service in delivering our commitments and ensuring good record keeping of vulnerability data.
  • This role is pivotal in ensuring our residents are safe in the buildings and additional support and measures are in place to cater for vulnerabilities.
  • You will be reporting directly to the Head of Housing for RPEEPs

Your impact in the role:

  • Own the primary relationship between L&Q and the vulnerable residents on patch, living in high rise and buildings 11m or above with a full (simultaneous) evacuation in place.
  • Be the key point of contact for residents and be the 'voice of the resident' across the organisation.
  • Represent L&Q at all activity relating to patch, examples being, resident forums, committees, residents' association
  • Communicate with residents in a timely manner, to a good standard and in a range of ways demonstrating empathy and care.
  • Provide information and advice on all queries in relation to RPEEPs and work in collaboration with the residents to produce individual evacuation statements.
  • Work in collaboration with the strategic fire safety team to review/update building emergency evacuation plans (BEEPs) where required and ensure good record keeping.
  • Attend resident meetings to discuss the importance of RPEEPs.
  • Y ou will hold key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as housing management colleagues, LQ Living, lettings, strategic fire safety team, fire risk assessment team, Property Services teams, Councillors/MPs, Local Fire & Rescue Services and other relevant stakeholders
What you'll bring:

  • A passion for the safety of and working with vulnerable adults
  • Understanding and experience of fire safety issues in buildings
  • Excellent organisational skills, time management skills and
  • Knowledge and experience of undertaking person-centred risk assessments
  • Knowledge of RPEEPs or willingness to learn
  • At least one years' experience as a Neighbourhood Housing Lead or a similar role in Housing
