We're looking for a compassionate and proactive Neighbourhood Officer - Older People's Services to join Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG). You'll be at the heart of our Living and Ageing Well Strategy, supporting residents across our sheltered and supported housing schemes, and helping to create vibrant, inclusive communities for older people.
About the Role
As a Neighbourhood Officer, you'll deliver high-quality housing management services to tenants living in our older people's schemes and supported housing. You'll manage tenancies, ensure compliance and safety, and work with residents to promote wellbeing, inclusion, and independence.
You'll also build strong partnerships with health, social care, and community organisations-supporting residents through change, tackling tenancy issues early, and empowering tenants to have their voices heard in shaping local services.

About the Role
As a Neighbourhood Officer, you'll deliver high-quality housing management services to tenants living in our older people's schemes and supported housing. You'll manage tenancies, ensure compliance and safety, and work with residents to promote wellbeing, inclusion, and independence.
You'll also build strong partnerships with health, social care, and community organisations-supporting residents through change, tackling tenancy issues early, and empowering tenants to have their voices heard in shaping local services.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver effective housing management across sheltered and older people's schemes
- Carry out tenancy and estate management duties, including allocations and low-level ASB
- Visit tenants regularly to support wellbeing, independence, and tenancy sustainment
- Work with residents on health and wellbeing activities to reduce isolation and promote active ageing
- Support residents with rightsizing opportunities and adaptations to help them live in homes that meet their needs
- Promote and support the use of assistive technology and digital inclusion initiatives
- Build partnerships with agencies such as the NHS, Social Services, and community providers
- Keep accurate records, manage budgets and service charges, and maintain compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding requirements
- Experience in housing management or a similar customer-focused role
- Knowledge of tenancy and estate management, especially within older people's or supported housing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy and resilience
- Ability to manage complex situations and handle sensitive issues with professionalism
- Understanding of safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Confident working independently and as part of a wider housing and wellbeing team
- Good IT skills and experience maintaining accurate tenancy records
- A full UK driving licence is desirable
