The Vacancy
We're VIVID! -We offer a vibrant, friendly, inclusive culture that supports, develops and attracts the best people!
We're recruiting for a Neighbourhood Officer to join our team! This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours a week. This role will be contractually based out of our Basingstoke office, predominantly covering the North Hampshire area. This is a remote working role, so you'll mostly be out & about within the community in your designated patch! The main areas covered for
this role are Hook and East Hampshire.
What great benefits can we offer you?
As a neighbourhood officer, you'll be main contact for your customers within your patch. As their go-to person, they can talk to you about a range of matters in relation to their tenancy, estates and more.
The overall aim of this role is to help create attractive, safe and sustainable communities for our customers to live in. As part of this, you'll make sure we offer them good quality and 'value for money' services. You'll soon get to know and understand who our customers are and be able to identify the support they may need to keep their tenancies.
We're looking for someone who has a strong customer focus who can confidently handle challenging customers and anti-social behaviour. Resilience, assertiveness and the ability to work under pressure are important in this role. You'll have demonstrable experience of working with the general public face to face, or in a public services environment. If you have knowledge (and experience) in housing management/law then that's a bonus. Though we're really keen to encourage people from a variety of backgrounds who can apply a range of transferable skills. And a fresh approach to how we deliver a great customer experience.
You'll need to have a full current driving licence with access to a vehicle. But don't worry - mileage for part of your travel will be reimbursed each month so you'll not be out of pocket.
Offers are subject to a satisfactory DBS.
Interviews are due to take place on 22th and 24th June (subject to change)
The Company
We're a leading provider of affordable homes and extensive support services in the south of England. We believe that everyone has the right to a safe and secure place to call home, and from the moment customers move into their VIVID home we're here to help with that and more.
Our customers have access to a wide range of tailored advice to sustain their tenancies and look after their wellbeing. We invest in our homes and communities for the long-term, and this means in the quality, safety and energy efficiency of existing homes and neighbourhoods, with a firm focus on improving services so they're easy to use and access by our customers.
We're addressing the shortage of affordable housing in the south, building the right type of homes to meet the needs of our local communities. We're the sixth largest developer of new homes amongst housing associations in England, having built over 1,500 last year.
This is summed up in our vision "More homes, bright futures".
