Job Opportunity: Operations Officer - Planned Works Delivery Team
Hours: 37 hours per week - Permanent
Salary Grade: 9, SCP 28 - 31, (£37,938 - £40,476)
Location Hybrid (office attendance minimum of 2 days pw)
Please note this role will cover the whole of the Dudley borough some 15 miles wide in any direct from the centre of town. The role has the ability for both home working and office working but primarily as an Operations Officer, we would envisage you being on site most of the time.
What can you expect: Your day may start withanswering emails or engaging in verbal communication with colleagues, contractors, customers, or stakeholders. Or you might find yourself heading off to meet with an approved contractor to discuss scope of works prestart, before heading off to complete a pre-arranged handing over of works whilst engaging with customers to finalise satisfaction.
As an Operations Officer you will play a vital role in managing a range of planned works programmes, building construction and maintenance related projects. Ensuring the effective management and utilisation of approved contractors, including overseeing onsite performance. Attending regular contract meetings to develop, agree and maintain work programmes / projects. Including the management of all necessary contract administration and works orders for each work programme or project.
You are someone who can excel in information gathering and the ability to process the information to allow efficient contract management including both the operational and financial aspects. Also, as the ability to make technical decisions and able to effectively address any issues that may arise.
