Play a key role in ensuring the LCB Workspace is a safe and welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.

LCB Workspace based in the city's cultural quarter is the city's creative industries hub. We provide workspace for over 100 creative businesses in 4 buildings across 3 sites and have a busy exhibition and events programme with a great cafe and meeting rooms at LCB Depot.

LCB is a very customer, public and business focused enterprise and puts the creative sector at the heart of the local creative industries scene with multiple partnerships including HE/De Montfort University, a range of businesses and business networks as well as individual creative people, artists and creative event organisers. Our busy programme of events includes the monthly street food and arts evening 'Last Friday.

Join our busy and motivated team to work closely with our Operations Officer, Caretaker and in house cleaners. Predominantly based at LCB Depot, your duties will extend across our 3 sites as directed by our Caretaker and Operations Officer.

We have a Full-time, permanent post working 37 hours per week. Hours of work are by agreement and range between 8.00am - 4.00pm. You'll be able to work flexible hours and on occasion outside/after normal hours and weekends.

What you'll be doing

You'll report daily to the caretaker to determine priorities, tasks and report or resolve any difficulties. Duties will include cleaning/clearing business centre shared kitchenettes and washroom facilities, liaising with visiting contractors, small maintenance jobs and fixes, and decorating small areas. You'll carry out standard building checks such as water checks, fire alarm checks as well as assist with setting up of exhibitions and events. You'll be open to training as required potentially in the fields of Health and Safety compliance, First Aid, Fire Evacuation and equipment operation and basic checks.

What you'll need

With experience of working as a Premises Officer you'll be able to review information updated daily which summarise immediate jobs and fixes and receive direction from LCB's Caretaker and Operations Officer. You'll have good literacy skills, to be able to document tasks and create basic records as required. Using good verbal communication skills, you'll effectively liaise with suppliers, customers, and tenants. You'll be physically fit, with an appreciation of COSHH standards, water monitoring and manual handling to carry out tasks safely and in compliance with regulations.
