We are recruiting a Principal Housing Officer (Communities) at Caerphilly County Borough Council.Working hours: 37
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements
Team: Private Sector Housing

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.

We pay an attractive salary of £53,051- £56,293and offer access to training and development opportunities.This is a key leadership role within Private Sector Housing, responsible for the operational management of the Housing Environmental Health, Energy and Empty Property teams. You will lead the delivery of statutory housing services, drive performance, manage complex projects and partnerships, and support the Council's strategic aims in improving housing standards, reducing empty homes and tackling fuel poverty.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing professional to make a real difference to communities across Caerphilly County Borough.
For the role, we ask that you have:
  • An Environmental Health professional Level 6 (Degree) qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Private Sector Housing and related services.
  • A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the Borough to visit clients, attend meetings and transport relevant equipment.
