Prpose and Scope of the Role
This fll-time, permanent role spports the delivery of specialist laboratory projects across sectors inclding water, tilities, agrochemical, defence, food, feed and forage crops. Working within a respected team of analysts, chemists and technicians, yo will help coordinate client enqiries, project information, sample media orders and sbcontracted reslts throgh or Laboratory Information Management System.
Yo will act as a primary point of contact for ongoing projects, ensring client reqirements are nderstood, work is logged accrately, progress pdates are commnicated clearly, and any delays or isses are escalated promptly. Or Bedford laboratory has a strong technical reptation and was one of the first in the K to gain KAS accreditation for PFAS analysis following monitoring reqirements at the Bncefield oil terminal.
Yor Impact in this Position
In the short term, yo will help maintain smooth commnication between clients, sales and laboratory colleages, spporting accrate project set-p and timely delivery. As yor knowledge grows, yo will contribte to tailored analytical programmes that help clients meet reglatory obligations, qality standards, maximm reside limits and environmental reqirements.
Over time, this role offers the opportnity to develop wider project coordination, client management and commercial awareness skills, with exposre to technically complex laboratory work and specialist analytical services.

• Provide responsive, professional spport to clients, nderstanding reqirements and keeping them informed throghot project delivery.
Project Administration
• Review sbmitted work, confirm accrate logging, manage project information and maintain clear records within LIMS and related systems.
Laboratory Collaboration
• Liaise effectively with laboratory staff and sales colleages to resolve isses, manage expectations and spport smooth workflow.
Attention to Detail
• Work accrately in a fast-paced technical environment, identifying inconsistencies and ensring client instrctions are followed.
Commnication and Prioritisation
• Balance competing tasks, commnicate clearly by telephone and email, and work independently while contribting to team objectives.
Skills, Qalifications and Experience
Yo shold have an interest in science, ideally spported by relevant qalifications, alongside strong administration, cstomer service and organisational skills. Experience in a fast-paced environment, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work nder pressre are important.
Experience in a laboratory, client-facing role, project coordination or LIMS environment wold be advantageos. Previos project management experience, spporting team workloads, working with a spport desk, or identifying chargeable activity wold also be desirable.
