About the job

As Project Manager, you will lead the planning and management of complex, large-scale projects within our Digital Transformation Team. Reporting to the Digital Transformation Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Initiating, planning, and managing the implementation or procurement of a new or upgraded system for housing-related services.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders to support project delivery.
  • Supporting and leading business improvement activities and initiatives.
  • Managing project documentation, resources, and compliance with Council and statutory requirements.
  • Supporting Programme Managers and Senior Managers in defining project scope, developing business cases, and assessing costs, benefits, risks, and impacts.
  • Promoting professional project management and business improvement practices across the organisation.
  • Working in a hybrid environment, with flexibility to work from various locations as required.
What We Are Looking For From You

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate:
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in managing large-scale projects and delivering organisational change.
  • Experience in multi-agency partnership working, ideally within Local Authority services.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise resources and manage effective service delivery.
  • Proven ability to analyse and evaluate complex information, make effective decisions, and produce high-quality reports and documents.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills; a project management qualification or training is desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment to equality, safeguarding, and health & safety in line with Council policies.
  • A positive attitude to new challenges, adaptability to change, and a personal commitment to the work of the service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and discretion.
