You will be working in the Infrastructure OU based in Lower Thames Crossing in where we are responsible for bringing design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide - combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.
The Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) is one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. LTC is a new road that will connect Kent and Essex through a tunnel beneath the River Thames and will be the greenest road ever built in the UK - creating six times more green space than road. The reliable new route will almost double road capacity over the river east of London to reduce congestion and give millions of people more choice on where they live, work and spend their valuable time. We have a diverse programme team on LTC that reflects the communities we work in and fosters an inclusive culture by actively supporting the programme's Purpose, Principles and Cultural Pillars and growing employee networks.
We are currently looking for a Project Manager who will deliver a programme of complex Utility Diversion works including all related enabling works, ensuring all works are delivered to the highest standards.

We are currently looking for a Project Manager who will deliver a programme of complex Utility Diversion works including all related enabling works, ensuring all works are delivered to the highest standards.
As the Project Manager, you will:
- Lead and drive the Works to progress, in accordance with the Contract Programme, to best commercial advantage, without prejudice to the health and safety of employees, sub-contractors or the public at large and taking into full account environmental considerations.
- Consistently demonstrate, promote and develop high standards of safety behaviour.
- Support the detailed design phase in ensuring an efficient and buildable design is produced by working alongside the construction team to find innovative ways to minimise cost and technical issues.
- Deliver the project in compliance with Skanska's Our Way of Working system and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures (including client requirements).
- Understand/develop/ scrutinise/ deliver/ monitor end to end programme. Set milestones and key deliverables and lead the implementation of overall project plan.
- Experience of effective engagement and collaboration with stakeholders at a senior level.
- Relevant CSCS Card.
- Knowledge and experience in delivery of High Voltage electrical infrastructure.
- Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
- Experience in Project Management and coordination of Third Parties including Statutory Undertakers.
- Experience in Utility Diversion Works with emphasis on Electrical Infrastructure.
- Degree qualification in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Diploma in Construction Management (NVQ Level 6).
