You will identify, lead and manage innovative initiatives and work with teams across Humes to deliver innovative processes, customer centric products and services and sustained cost reductions in manufacturing.Further and detailed accountabilities are found in the Position Description which is available upon request and will include:In conjunction with National Manager R&D, Innovation and Assets and the Humes leadership team supporting the defining and implementation of the Humes R&D strategy to accelerate the building of our technological advantage.Ensuring changes are embedded via the Holcim change management process.Playing a key role in the development of the 5-year operational innovation and technology strategy for Humes.Planning and leading the digitisation of Humes' operations administrative processes.Ensuring changes are embedded via the Holcim change management process.Actively leading and promoting a safety culture across Holcim at all times.Developing, rolling out and ensuring the consistent implementation of a Process Improvement Program, including the submission of capital proposals to achieve improvements and progressive cost reductions.Building business/technical case analyses with product management.About You:To thrive in this role, you will bring a sharp technical mind and a passion for people. You should possess:Qualifications in or a sound, practical understanding of engineering principles. (Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline preferred).Industry Expertise: Proven experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer within Civil Construction, Precast, Concrete, heavy manufacturing, Steel, or the broader construction industries (ideal).Credible IT 'nous.'Technical Skills: The ability to confidently read complex engineering drawings, alongside strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.Commercial & Cost Savvy: Strong knowledge of estimating, tendering, and a deep understanding of manufacturing cost drivers.Contractual Acumen: In-depth knowledge of contractual matters and a high level of commercial awareness to successfully navigate complex infrastructure projects.Dynamic Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
