We have an exciting opportunity to join County Durham Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service as a Recovery Coordinator working in The centre for change, based in Durham's city centre.
Who you'll be working with...
The team is a multi-disciplinary recovery team comprising of colleagues from diverse professional and personal backgrounds. The team includes Recovery Coordinators, HOPE Workers, Sustained Recovery, Housing and Criminal Justice workers , Individual Placement Specialists and Volunteers. We are a supportive and welcoming team, who are passionate about supporting and promoting recovery for those we care for and within our local community.
The County Durham service has recently been rated 'Outstanding' by the CQC and is a great place to work. The service supports adults, children, young people and families across County Durham with drug and alcohol issues. The successful post holder will match our organisational ambition and commitment to provide the highest standards of service delivery across County Durham, engaging with local communities and supporting their priorities.
Key Duties:
About you...
You will have a passion for making a difference and fair chances for all should be at the core of everything you do.
You will have an understanding of and ability to implement interventions, including brief interventions MI, PSIs, CBT and ITEP, experience of delivering 1-2-1 therapeutic interventions.

Key Duties:
- Manage an adult caseload of clients with drug and alcohol issues, reviewing on-going care and treatment and liaising closely with a full range of workers and skills within the multi-agency team, including family members and significant others.
- Devising, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans.
- Facilitate and promote individuals' progression from initial engagement, through structured treatment, to self-sustained recovery.
- Reduce drug or alcohol-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
- Working collaboratively with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and well-being outcomes for individuals.
- Support with evening and weekend clinics when needed.
