Recovery Coordinator (Part-Time)
Location: Cumbria
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 18.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Recovery Coordinator (18.5 hours per week) within the Drug, Alcohol, Recovery and Treatment Team to support Waythrough drug and alcohol service delivery at HMP Haverigg Prison, Haverigg, Cumbria.

About the role
As a Recovery Coordinator, you will provide 1:1 support for service users, from brief interventions through to structured treatment, including groups, ensuring that every recovery journey is tailored to individual needs and priorities.

You will take a holistic "whole person" approach, ensuring that each service user's care package encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, supporting them to achieve the best possible outcomes and safe reintegration into the community.

As a Recovery Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing a reduced caseload appropriate to part-time hours, devising, implementing and reviewing ongoing recovery plans and treatment.
  • Carrying out triage/screening assessments and comprehensive assessments with service users.
  • Working collaboratively with partner agencies to undertake shared assessments, key working and interventions, supporting service user progression from engagement through to self-sustained recovery.
  • Facilitating service user access to treatment and community resources to increase recovery capital and social connections.
  • Using the online case management system, SystmOne, to effectively manage recovery planning, safeguarding and risk management processes.
Please note: the successful applicant will be required to go through the appropriate Prison Clearance process. A driving licence is required due to the locality.

About you
The successful post holder will share our ambition and commitment to deliver the highest standards of service quality and performance within this partnership.

Ideally, you will:
  • Possess a relevant health and social care qualification.
  • Have experience working within drug and alcohol services.
  • Be creative and able to generate innovative approaches to support recovery.
  • Be able to manage your caseload and create personalised care plans.
  • Have the ability to engage with people and facilitate positive change.
