Overview
We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting people affected by addiction. The Changing Futures programme is a joint initiative by the Department for levelling up Housing and Communities (DLUHC)and The National Lottery Community Fund. As such, this role has a focus on partnership work to support people experiencing multiple disadvantages; homelessness, drug and/or alcohol addition, mental health, domestic abuse and, involvement with criminal justice agencies.
The Changing Futures Recovery Coordinator will be supported by CGL's specialist Rough Sleepers, Drug & Alcohol Treatment (RSDAT) Team Leader and managed day-to-day by the Changing Futures Operations Manager. They will be based at St. Batholomew's House in Brighton alongside Brighton & Hove City Council's Adult Social Care teams. They will also work in collaboration with CGL's RSDAT Team and Criminal Justice Intervention Team (CJIT) to support people struggling with addiction. The team are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those they support, creating respectful and safe environments where people who use our services feel able to make lasting and significant change as well as being able to reconnect with family, friends, and supportive communities, take part in life enhancing activities, and access the clinical addiction services they need.
Base Location: Brighton & Hove - St. Batholomew's House
Full Time Salary*: £27,449.52 - £31,529.41
Full Time Hours: 37.5 hrs per week
Contract: Fixed Term contract - end date 31st of March 2026
*Salary based on full-time working hours
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
This is a fixed term post until 31st March 2025 with applications awaiting further funding for this team and post.

They will also strive to reflect on their own practice, experience, and values to bring the best of themselves to their work. The successful candidate will benefit from induction training and have access to CGL's national training resources, in addition to line-management supervision and support. Once settled in, you will be based in one of the country's most exciting cities, meeting people who use our services and building relationships with local services, groups, and support communities.
