We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.

Where: Swindon

Part Time Hours: 18.5 per week

Full Time Salary Range: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35*

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the Role:
  • Provide bespoke psychosocial interventions for identified service users, with the aim of engaging people in the most appropriate treatment for their needs, delivering a whole person health-based approach and bringing about positive client outcomes.
  • Work within an integrated non-opiate team, and contribute to best practice and a 'what works' evidence based approach to deliver a bespoke non-opiate treatment offer addressing substance misuse, physical health, mental health, housing , employment and the overall wellbeing of individuals accessing treatment.
  • Deliver 1:1 PSI interventions and be available to co-facilitate group interventions and deliver trauma informed care approaches.
  • Work in close partnership with social services, secondary mental health, probation and Housing providers to take a flexible and agile approach including an awareness of place to enable individuals to reduce harm, cease drug use and support on-going recovery.
  • Work within an integrated treatment model and liaise with the group programme, behavioural change team, harm reduction team, clinical team, assertive outreach workers and aftercare team, in order to produce a bespoke individual service user
About You:

  • A desire to work with individuals with a history using non- opiate substances and an excellent understanding of the harms caused by illicit substance misuse and dependency, with an emphasis on harms caused by non-opiate substances.
  • An in depth understanding of potential barriers to engagement and change and experience of working creatively with service users who may benefit from an individualised approach to engagement.
  • A creative and innovative approach to motivating individuals in recognising the benefits of accessing structured treatment, including group work, digital recovery tools, mutual aid and supporting them to do so.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in effective risk management planning, and working with individuals with multiple disadvantages, including managing risk of overdose, self-harm and suicidal ideation
  • Experience of providing harm reduction advice and information that reduces the potential negative impact of drug use on individuals, their families / carer's and communities and which improves physical and psychological health and well-being.
