We are looking for a Recovery Coordinator (Band 5) to join our well-established Drug and Alcohol Services team. This is a key role in delivering structured treatment and recovery support for individuals affected by substance misuse, including those prescribed opioid substitution therapy (OST).

You will hold responsibility for a caseload of clients, ensuring continuity of care from assessment through to treatment and beyond. Working collaboratively with prescribers, mental health teams, partners within STaRS and wider stakeholder and providers, to support and assist clients achieve their recovery goals.

  • Experience in substance misuse services or related health/social care settings.
  • Strong understanding of recovery-focused approaches and harm reduction.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage complex caseloads and work collaboratively with partners.
  • Knowledge of national guidance and clinical governance requirements.
Main duties of the job

  • Provision of drug & alcohol treatment to Service Users within the locality.
  • Holding a caseload of service users and being responsible for offering a range of interventions to those individuals.
  • Supporting service users through their treatment journey from beginning to end
  • Embracing the concept of recovery and demonstrating this in your practice and work
  • Ensuring that your work is evidence based, up to date and in accordance with current policy and legislation.
  • Keeping up to date and accurate records and documentation.
