Where: HMP Channings Wood

Hours: 37.5 per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours

You'll work closely with individuals throughout their recovery journey, helping them identify goals, access support, build resilience, and make sustainable changes that improve their health and wellbeing.

Experience in substance misuse, criminal justice, mental health, social care, or a related field can be beneficial, but we're equally interested in people with strong transferable skills, a passion for supporting others, and a commitment to making a difference.

What You'll Do
  • Carry out assessments and develop personalised recovery plans.
  • Support individuals throughout their recovery journey.
  • Deliver one-to-one interventions and facilitate group sessions.
  • Help reduce drug and alcohol-related harm and promote healthier lifestyles.
  • Signpost and refer individuals to appropriate support services.
  • Advocate on behalf of service users to improve access to support.
  • Work collaboratively with prison staff, healthcare teams, and partner organisations.
  • Support people to build confidence, resilience, and independence.
  • Monitor progress and review outcomes to support positive change.

Experience in substance misuse, criminal justice, mental health, social care, healthcare, community work, counselling, coaching, mentoring, or related services is welcomed but not essential. We value attitude, motivation, and transferable skills and will provide support to help you develop in the role.
