The vacancy

We are looking for a dedicated resident liaison officer to support the coordination of specialist works and major projects, ensuring we deliver a customer-focused service to our residents. At Bromford, we are committed to providing homes that empower our customers and their families to achieve their aspirations. We want our homes to be places of pride and support, not a barrier.

In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating activity across the team, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting residents throughout the home improvement or relocation processes. You'll provide vital information and advice on specialist works, conduct impact and needs assessments, and work closely with residents to identify their housing needs and preferences. For those requiring a move, you will help facilitate a smooth and supported transition.

You will play a key role in supporting the procurement of high-quality contractors and developing effective relationships with service providers to meet the project's objectives. The role will also involve managing administrative processes, ensuring timely delivery of services, and adhering to robust financial procedures to support residents appropriately.

You'll also lead on communications for investment projects, both internally and externally. As well as coordinate consultation events, manage contractor social value obligations, and support the development and implementation of processes to ensure a smooth project delivery.

This role is full time and available as a 12 month fixed term contract. You will cover the Cotswolds and South Gloucestershire with the occasional travel to the West Midlands when necessary. An enhanced DBS check and full driving licence are required.

What we're looking for:
  • Proven experience in a customer-focused environment, delivering excellent customer service
  • Experience working in social housing and supporting property investment or housing-related activities
  • Strong ICT skills with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly to both customers and colleagues
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and external partners, including contractors
If you're passionate about delivering excellent service to residents and want to be part of a team that makes a real difference in people's lives, apply today!

The closing date is 5 January with interviews taking place 13 January.

About us

We are a housing association- one that owns and provides over 47,000 homes for people who can't access market housing; has individual relationships with more than 112,000 customers; has a strong balance sheet and plans to build 11,000 homes by 2032. All of this is only possible because of our 1,900 dedicated colleagues.

We take a simple view that nothing is more important to any individual or a family than their home. It's a matter of social justice that everyone should have a home that is safe, secure, and affordable. We exist to provide such homes. With the right home, people can achieve great things, not only for themselves but for wider society too.

We provide quality, affordable homes. But we care about the people who live in them too. We want each of them to be able to achieve their goals. This will be different for each customer. Put simply, we want people to thrive.
