Resident Liaison Officer

The Royal Borough of Greenwich have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Building and Fire Safety Team, this newly created role will a play pivotal part in engaging with residents and proactively monitoring/implementing building and fire safety measures across the housing stock.

You will be part of a friendly, driven and committed team, working directly with residents, contractors, and colleagues to enhance resident safety and satisfaction. If you enjoy problem-solving, engagement, and making a difference in local communities, this is the role for you!

The ideal candidate will have experience in engaging with residents and knowledge of fire safety measures utilised in high rise buildings and social housing stock.

Key Responsibilities

Support and deliver resident engagement and communication strategies.

Act as the key liaison between residents, leaseholders, RBG teams and contractors.

Manage front line building and fire safety issues across sites, ensuring RBG are meeting the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Building Safety Act 2024 and other associated legislation across our housing stock.

Proactively promote collaborative working between RBG and residents, to include events, on site engagement, and organising safety information drop-in sessions on estate-based projects.

Liaise with residents on access arrangements.

Proactively monitor and raise any compliance issues on site.

Engage with vulnerable residents via home fire safety visits and carry out Person Centred Fire Risk Assessments (PCFRA's).

Respond to end user feedback and complaints.
