Are you passionate about supporting homeless people with complex needs, and histories of entrenched or repeat homelessness to sustain their tenancies or exit a street lifestyle?
We are CCP, an independent charity and our vision is of a caring, supportive and inclusive society. Our purpose is to prevent the causes and reduce the effects of homelessness, family breakdown and exclusion.
We need driven and tenacious individuals who can deliver a gold standard service.
Are you ready for a challenge?
An excellent opportunity has arisen within Worcestershire for a combined role of Senior SWEP Coordinator and Housing Support Worker to join our highly successful Homelessness Prevention Service. The service delivers the SWEP Night Shelters and Homelessness Prevention Work across the 6 districts within the County.
This is a combined role consisting of Senior SWEP Coordinator November - March, 30 hours per week, and Senior Housing Support Worker April - October, 30 hours per week.
You'll need to have a flexible approach to working to meet the needs of the service. 50/50 home and hybrid working is required to ensure a highly responsive approach to referrals for shelter across the County of Worcestershire, and to recruit, mentor and supervise a team of volunteers to promote social value within the County. Travel will be required between service areas, so it is essential that you are a car driver with access to your own vehicle.
During the SWEP months you will be required to participate in on call out of hours management phone cover, based on a 1 week in 3 rota.
The role will also include line management of a team of dedicated SWEP bank staff, who are delivering the service. Working in partnership with Stakeholders, Statutory and non-statutory partners and reporting on internal and external contractual KPI's, legal and quality audit requirements.
To achieve these outcomes, you will need to have experience and the ability to work with a diverse client group, motivating and inspiring students, volunteers and being adept at business engagement. Taking a proactive and responsible approach to maintaining the night shelter rota and risk assessments. Ability to work on your own initiative and the ability to communicate interdepartmentally.
CCP are a vibrant and dynamic organisation that is at the forefront of supporting and helping people and their communities across the South West and the West Midlands.
You'll have an opportunity to expand services that make a real difference in the lives of rough sleepers and people who are currently homeless or at risk of losing tenancies.
