Job Title: Sheltered Housing Officer (2 posts)

Salary: £37,815 - £43,083 per annum

Grade: E

Permanent Contract

37 Hours per Week

The Sheltered Housing service is looking for proactive Officers who will work closely with services users over 50 years of age to provide housing related support and estate management.

We are committed to providing a safe and secure living environment for our older residents in Thurrock. We require dedicated professionals who enjoy working with older people to make sure that they can live their lives to the full in an independent setting.

You will need to be able to participate in the assessment of prospective service users, including the completion of needs and risk assessments, to complete property wellness check ins onsite and in the wider community, to regularly review plans, to maintain regular contact with service users, to consult with service users on issues relating to Sheltered Housing Services and to provide day to day tenancy management at the complexes.

Thurrock has 29 Sheltered Housing Sites and each officer manages at least 2 sites. The role will include, tenancy management, Health and safety, visits to older people within the wider community as part of our Outreach service and engaging and facilitating activities on sites to encourage social inclusion.

A knowledge or experience of housing and housing IT systems will be beneficial to the role.
