We are recruiting a Sheltered Housing Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.

We pay an attractive salary of £29,540 - £31,022 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Caerphilly Homes and the Older Persons Housing Team on a permanent full-time basis. Would you like to be part of a dynamic team delivering housing related support services to Contract Holders living in the 30 sheltered housing schemes across the borough?

The successful candidate must have an excellent work ethic and good communication skills whilst working independently and as part of team. You will be expected to support the team in promoting health and wellbeing, social inclusion and safety and security whilst enabling Contract Holders to live as independently as possible.

The postholder will be responsible for delivering housing related support, carrying out appropriate and effective on-site management within schemes and respond to emergency calls when on site.

For the role, we ask that you have:
  • A National Warden's Certificate / National Certificate in Supported Housing or Relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, in Housing, Care or Support.
  • The ability to develop and review housing related support plans and risk assessments.
  • Proven experience of working in housing, care or support fields.
  • Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to respond to any issues in a sheltered housing scheme.
