About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and financially minded Team Leader to oversee the business, finance, and subcontractor management functions within our Repairs and Maintenance (HME) service.
This role has business-critical responsibilities required to support accurate financial reporting, effective subcontractor oversight, and legionella monitoring to ensure strong governance across the service.
You will play a key part in safeguarding financial integrity, ensuring timely and accurate processing of recharges, supporting budget forecasting, and maintaining compliance with SCC governance standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and experience in financial or operational environments to step into a leadership role that directly supports service efficiency and performance.

What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and monitoring subcontractor activity across HME to ensure quality, value for money, and compliance.
- Overseeing validation of labour, materials, and expenditure to ensure financial accuracy.
- Ensuring timely processing and recovery of monthly recharges to protect SCC partners from financial forecasting risks and increased accruals.
- Supporting budget control, financial forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Ensuring all processes align with SCC's financial governance framework.
- Working collaboratively with operational teams, subcontractors, Finance, and SCC partners.
- Contributing to continuous improvement across financial and business processes.
Essential
- Experience in financial oversight, cost management, or budget monitoring in a technical, maintenance, housing, or operational environment.
- Experience managing subcontractor performance and validating cost information.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and spot discrepancies.
- Excellent organisational skills, able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge where needed.
- Ability to work independently and make sound, data-driven decisions.
- Proficient in IT such as spread sheets and data sharing.
- Experience in a local authority, housing, or Repairs & Maintenance service.
- Knowledge of Total mobile.
- Knowledge of SCC financial governance, systems, and recharge processes.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
