Our Team Leaders here at Change Grow Live play an integral role in ensuring an effective service provision for our service users by creating a focused culture, engaging staff to provide an innovative and continually improving service and provide leadership, support, and development to a wide range of staff.
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our West Sussex Service. As part of our Housing Support team, you will work flexibly and creatively to ensure what is needed to have the most positive impact for all who are referred to our service.
Location: Countywide, throughout West Sussex
Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities
About the role:
- Lead and motivate a team of Housing Support Workers delivering a county-wide service across West Sussex, helping people access and sustain settled accommodation while supporting their recovery journey.
- Provide effective operational leadership, including supervision, performance management, recruitment, induction and staff development.
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, positive outcomes and effective risk management.
- Develop strong referral pathways and partnerships with housing, health and social care services to support people at risk of homelessness.
- Ensure wraparound support is available for individuals in emergency, temporary, supported accommodation or at risk of homelessness across West Sussex.
- Work closely with local authorities, housing providers and community partners to improve joint working and achieve the best outcomes for service users
- Monitor service performance, maintain accurate records and drive continuous improvement in line with programme objectives.
- Experience of leading and developing teams within housing, health, social care, substance misuse or related services.
- Knowledge of delivering high-quality, outcome-focused services and managing performance effectively.
- Good understanding of substance misuse, recovery and the challenges faced by people with complex needs, including homelessness.
- Excellent knowledge of Adult and Children safeguarding policies and practices and experience of embedding these operationally.
- Experience of working collaboratively with local authorities, housing providers, health services and other partner agencies.
- Knowledge of housing pathways, tenancy sustainment and homelessness prevention as well as relevant legislation would be an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire and support others.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
