We are recruiting a Technical Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 hours (7.24 Monday - Friday)
Contract Type: Full time, Fixed term for 12 months
Location: Ty Penallta / Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
Team: Asset Maintenance and Repairs
This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.
We pay an attractive salary of £29,540 - £31,022 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
The Decarbonisation Analyst will support the Council's evolving housing decarbonisation programme by analysing post-installation monitoring data, including Aico environmental and consented energy consumption data, to evaluate retrofit performance and resident outcomes.
The role will identify trends, support fault diagnosis, develop dashboards and strengthen Welsh Government reporting, including WHQS 2023 compliance. By translating complex data into actionable insights, the post will inform investment decisions, future programme design and continuous improvement, while bridging the gap between technical data and operational delivery and enabling officers to focus on project delivery.

- Relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
- Demonstrate an excellent knowledge and understanding of customer care.
- Experience of working with database systems.
