Job Introduction
Our Housing Solutions team provides vital support to residents who need temporary accommodation.
As a Temporary Accommodation Officer, you'll help place and manage properties for people facing homelessness, working closely with colleagues and partners to make sure homes are safe and suitable.
This role involves property visits, supporting licensees, and managing risks.
This is a site-based role

Our roles are either designated 'site based' or 'home based'. 'Site based' roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst 'home based' roles are based at home four days a week. Of course, managers designate which category roles are in based on the needs of the service and the circumstances.

- Allocate and manage temporary accommodation for homeless clients.
- Work with landlords and providers to minimise empty properties.
- Support residents with advice and access to grants and services.
- Carry out property visits and manage low-level anti-social behaviour.
- Keep accurate records and input data into housing systems.
- Assess risks and work with colleagues to manage them effectively.

- Have experience in housing or a similar field.
- Understand housing legislation and safeguarding requirements.
- Be able to assess accommodation and travel across Milton Keynes.
- Communicate clearly and provide excellent customer service.
- Solve problems creatively and work well in a team.
- Show empathy and a non-judgmental attitude towards people in crisis
