About the role
As a Tenancy Officer you will proactively deliver an excellent tenancy service to our residents, focussing on their needs, and expectations. You will also:
- Provide advice and guidance to tenants, leaseholders and other occupiers on matters of housing law, welfare entitlements and tenants' rights
- Maintain overall responsibility for all tenancy matters
- Keep abreast with changes from relevant regulatory bodies (HCA) and key industry legislation and good practice
- To take responsibility for the day-to-day management of tenancies within a defined patch of properties, ensuring our properties are managed to the highest possible standard and condition.
- The ideal candidate will have a qualification in Housing or relevant experience within the social housing sector or similar
- Knowledge of Housing Law, Housing and Neighbourhood Management issues and good practice
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-managing and target driven with strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- Valid UK Driving License and access to own transport/vehicle.
- Equivalent to 25 days of paid annual leave (excluding bank holidays), increasing to the equivalent of 28 after 5 years' service (pro-rata)
