Full Time, Fixed Term until March 2027
The Triage and Homelessness officer is a new fixed term position until March 2027.
The role is based at the Bristol City Council Customer Service Point and the role will maintain a caseload of homeless applications from resettled refugees, undertaking their assessments to decide and fulfil the Authority's statutory responsibilities under homeless legislation.
The role will be the public point of contact for people with No Recourse to Public Funds referred to Bristol City Council's Customer Service Point. The Triage and Homelessness officer will triage need, assess destitution responsibilities under Section 17 of the Children Act and provide emergency accommodation if appropriate.
You will need experience of working in the field of housing and knowledge of housing advice and operation procedures relating to preventing homelessness and maintaining tenancies.
You will need to demonstrate knowledge and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion issues.
Please note that this role is subject to an Standard DBS Check.
