We are currently recruiting for a Void Officer to join our successful Neighbourhoods Housing Team and help deliver the best housing services in Tower Hamlets.

We are looking for a highly motivated person who is committed to the very highest standards of customer care and Housing management to join our busy team as a Void Officer.

About you

- Support the delivery of an excellent void management service, contributing to meeting Tower Hamlets' performance targets through timely and effective actions.

- Use internal systems accurately and consistently to update and monitor the progress of void properties and related tasks.

- Assist in producing the Monthly Relets Report by gathering data on void turnaround times (short- and long-term) and highlighting any issues or observations to the Team Leader for further review.

- Support colleagues through peer learning and information sharing, contributing to the team's skills development and continuous improvement.

- Participate in team meetings and 1:1s to support the delivery of personal objectives and contribute to a culture of accountability and learning.

- Demonstrate strong relationship management when liaising with prospective tenants to ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction during the lettings process.

- Engage with residents and leaseholders' representative groups, helping to maintain positive and constructive relationships within the local community.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Housing Management, HSC, Asset Management, and Repairs, ensuring smooth coordination of services related to voids.

- Conduct property viewings, ensuring applicants receive full information about the property and local area, and that re-housing timeframes are met.

- Arrange and carry out pre-vacating inspections, identifying required works and potential recharges in a timely manner.

- Provide accurate data and updates to support performance reporting and ensure insights from frontline experience are shared with relevant teams.

- Assist in marketing low demand properties, including arranging viewings and promoting features to prospective applicants.

- Contribute to service improvement by participating in benchmarking activities and sharing feedback or suggestions that may lead to better turnaround and service quality.

- Support coordination of TH response to new build units, assisting with allocation processes and tenant communication as required.

- Undertake other reasonable duties, commensurate with the role, as directed by your line manager or the Head of Service.
