Dinardo Care and Supports Ltd offers supported housing for adults with diverse mental health needs across South London, including Catford, Lewisham, Peckham, Norwood, and Croydon. We currently have a vacancy for a Night Concierge to predominantly work across our Lewisham sites. Relief Concrete - Homelessness

The role As a Duty Practitioner you'll provide support and advice to people who have experienced homelessness at our male or female scheme. You'll make sure customers feel comfortable and can manage their tenancy, as well as signposting them to other support such as housing, health and welfare. This role is 37.5 hours on a rota basis, covering 8am - 11pm, Monday to Sunday. Target delivers the highest standard of housing and support to enable vulnerable people to live independently, fulfil their potential and contribute to their communities and wider society. You will have an allocated caseload of tenants who you will support for the agreed contractual hours within their tenancies with the aim of supporting them to eventually move onto independent living. We take a multi-agency approach to ensure the most comprehensive amount of support is provided for the tenants needs. The South Yorkshire AST project operates across Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham and you may be required to work in one, or potentially, across all of these areas. The Role We are looking to appoint a BSL (British Sign Language) Independent Living Support Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to help build our BSL ISL provision and provide excellent support. Due to the demands of the service, successful candidates must complete and pass British Sign Language Level 1. Training will be provided and consists of approximately three 10 week modules, 2 hours per week. The property is a 2 bedroom home located in a residential area in Newcastle, a short walk from the City Centre, St James Park, the Town Moore and Leazes Park as well as local transport services which opens up the whole of the North East to the people we support. There is also parking available. Our BSL Independent Supported Living scheme is a home for 2 young individuals who are leaving college and require support with everyday living tasks, cooking, cleaning, personal care, organising fun social activities, support to health appointments and to live as independently as possible. One young person that you will be supporting will have seizure activity which is generally nocturnal. This person can also have escalated behaviours and self-injurious behaviours. The other young person has a dysphagia need with an IDDSI Level 6 soft and bite sized diet. Full training will be given to support both individuals. You will need to be enthusiastic, friendly, enjoy your work and have a positive outlook on life and a real desire to help people achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
