Tenancy Manager Location: Reading Town Centre (just opposite the train station) Contract: Full-time, Permanent We're looking for a Tenancy Manager to join a growing property management team based in Reading town centre. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, customer-focused professional to play a key role in delivering exceptional tenancy services and ensuring residents enjoy a smooth, high-quality experience throughout their tenancy. About the Role As a Tenancy Manager, you'll oversee all stages of the tenancy lifecycle, from move-ins and renewals to move-outs, ensuring processes are handled efficiently, compliantly, and with great attention to detail. You'll communicate clearly and empathetically with tenants, manage documentation and legal notices, and collaborate closely with colleagues across departments to maintain high service standards. You'll be our face-to-face customer support to our estates, ensuring we provide safe homes and communities where people choose to live, while also ensuring our income is maximised. The postholder will respond effectively to customer queries and complaints, working to promote safe, inclusive, and well-maintained communities.</li><li>Carry out estate inspections, engaging and meeting with contractors on site, as well as carrying out and recording the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities.</li></ul>You have <ul><li>You are experienced in the housing sector and understand housing management, housing law and in an ideal world, universal credit too plus you have, or are willing to work towards Chartered Institute of Housing Level 3</li><li>Demonstrable experience in effectively managing anti-social behaviour cases, with a proven ability to resolve complex issues and support community safety.</li><li>Super organised and methodical in your approach, you're also a proactive self-starter with a "can do" positive attitude.</li><li>Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a genuine desire to help your customers.</li><li>This job can challenge, especially when we're dealing with complaints but your resilience will help you through.</li><li>Confident working with external partners and stakeholders such as local authorities, MP's etc.</li></ul>The practical bits <ul><li>This is a hybrid role and in an average week, you'll spend 3 days working from our community patches in Oxford and two days working from home.</li><li>Flexible working hours or there may be some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know about this when you meet us at the interview.</li><li>We mainly work Monday to Friday and work occasional evenings to meet with customers. The great news is that you'll be able to shape your own diary.</li><li>To get from A to B, you'll need a vehicle insured for business purposes.
