Your expertise will be vital in enabling us to grow our delivery offer of qualifications and training to maintain our leadership position in housing education across the UK.We’re looking for someone who’s dependable and can get the job done well while achieving non-movable deadlines. You’ll be the first point of contact for our learners, trainees and customers, whether that be via the telephone or email. You’ll assist with a range of enquiries regarding our qualification and training delivery offer. You will then support our learners on their journey to complete their qualification and achieve their goals.&nbsp;To succeed in this role, you must be passionate about offering great customer service, quick to respond and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where the customer always comes first. About us The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) are the professional body supporting housing professionals to create a future in which everyone has a place to call home.&nbsp;About you&nbsp;We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised professional to take the lead on managing CIH’s offices and facilities across all locations, with a primary base in Coventry.&nbsp; &nbsp; As the office and facilities lead, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our working environments, oversee building compliance and maintenance, and take ownership of health and safety across the organisation. Your role will be central to maintaining a safe, functional, and productive workplace for our teams, both on-site and remote. &nbsp;You will bring a solid background in facilities management, with proven experience in overseeing building compliance and managing contracts and budgets. A suitable health and safety qualification, such as IOSH, is essential, along with outstanding organisational skills and the ability to operate both independently and as part of a team. &nbsp; Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are key, as you’ll be liaising with colleagues, contractors, and senior leadership to uphold high standards across all CIH locations. As office manager, you’ll also serve as the first point of contact for visitors, managing front-of-house responsibilities and covering the reception desk when not engaged in facilities-related tasks. &nbsp; Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for managing maintenance schedules, supervising contractors, overseeing security and fire systems, and supporting the induction and equipment needs of new colleagues. From coordinating office moves to ensuring the availability of supplies and facilitating a welcoming and well-functioning workspace, this role is hands-on, varied, and pivotal to the success of our operational environment.
