In the role of a Housing Options Officer, you will contribute towards the efficient and effective management of the Housing Options Service through various channels including the promotion and maintenance of excellent standards of customer service based on service provision. You will deal with enquiries that assist customers with individual queries, prevention of homelessness and make decisions around homelessness. Our Housing Options Service Trafford (HOST) Team is based at offices in Sale Waterside. The team carries out the housing advice and homelessness functions for Trafford borough. This includes homelessness prevention, homelessness assessment and the provision of housing options, emergency and temporary accommodation, for people in housing need in Trafford. About you We are looking for someone with 1/2 years' experience working in a similar environment delivering homelessness prevention and housing related support services. You must have up to date knowledge and experience of the Homeless Reduction Act and associated legislation relevant to addressing homelessness prevention and managing homelessness, with proven experience of working within a multi-functional team and with partners and key stakeholders. We also want people with experience of successfully meeting individual set targets in a high-pressured environment that delivers lean and efficient services whilst delivering high levels of performance. The role requires conducting interviews with customers, face to face or by telephone to ensure solutions are offered in the best interest of the customer in accordance with policy, best practice and relevant legislation. The Vacancy Fulltime: 37hrs per week - Fixed Term Contract (6 Months) Proposed Interview Date: TBC We have an exciting opportunity for a Neighbourhood Officer to work as part of a customer focused, collaborative team responsible for the management of the Trust's estates, including investigating breaches of tenancy, ensuring that anti-social behaviour is addressed by working in collaboration with external partners, regularly monitoring the Trust's estates to ensure areas are safe, clean and well maintained. Key Responsibilities Include: <ul> <li>To investigate all complaints in respect of neighbour nuisance and anti-social behaviour and take steps to resolve these within the Trust's policies and procedures.</li> <li>To provide a high level tenancy management service within a geographical area, including ensuring tenancy conditions are complied with.</li> <li>Undertake accompanied viewings, tenancy "sign ups" to properties (including required follow up visits) and 'end of tenancy' liaison.</li> <li>To carry out tenant consultation on issues of housing management and encourage participation generally. To attend evening meetings as required in connection with Tenant and Resident Involvement.</li> <li>To work closely with agencies including Police, Early Help Hubs, Social Services, Mental Health Services, and to make referrals where necessary.
