This team develops the medium to long term strategy for the waste treatment estate, develops our five- yearly business plan submission to Ofwat and (working with tactical, operational and delivery teams) makes investment decisions to balance risk and performance. The role of a Strategic Asset Manager is varied and a typical week could see you developing an investment plan for a sewage works that meets the needs of today and the future, researching and reviewing future environmental legislation, advising delivery teams and liaising with developers and regulators! Key accountabilities will be: <ul> <li>Translating the outputs from Ofwat's final determination of our business plan (PR24) into practical plans that tactical and delivery teams can use to manage annual investment.</li> <li>Making clear and sometimes difficult prioritisation decisions to ensure that our investment plans balance capital and operational spend, meet our performance commitments and ensure we remain compliant with environmental legislation.</li> <li>Undertaking medium and long term planning taking into consideration future capacity needs, future legislation and land use. Strategic Asset Manager

Full Time and Part-Time / 37 and 18.5 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term 12 Months Play a key role in making a difference to some of the most vulnerable people in the city. Our work is extremely challenging, but also extremely rewarding, changing lives for the better by tackling homelessness, building new homes, and strengthening communities. Engaging with people at a local level, we support them by delivering services that improve their lives. Working on the front line, you'll assist with the provision of a high-quality service to support people through the pathway into and out of council funded temporary accommodation. You'll work with customers who are homeless, or threatened with homelessness, and local landlords who are looking for advice, either face-to-face, or over the telephone. You'll provide support to those who may be struggling with substance misuse, break down in relationships, job loss, mental or physical health problems, facing domestic abuse, those being evicted, those who can no longer afford to pay their rent, and much more. Putting the customer needs at the heart of everything you do, you'll be proactive, compassionate, and professional, to offer the best ongoing support to those in need. You'll promote positive working relationships key stakeholders including providers of council funded temporary accommodation, local landlords and agents, as well as partner organisations.
