The role Housing Officer known internally as a Local Housing Manager Location: Covering Derby. 1 day to be spent in our Derby Office Postcode DE23 6QL Salary: £35,944 - £37,835 - Full Time 37.5hr working week - Permanent Position This role MTVH are recruiting for a skilled and experienced Local Housing Manager who can provide excellent housing &amp; estate services to our rented properties within a defined geographical patch. The locality of these properties is based within postcode locations DE23. As our Local Housing Manager, you will be the front facing representative of MTVH, co-ordinating internal &amp; external services to meet the diverse range of needs of our customer base by delivering services both on an individual &amp; local basis to a high standard. It is essential that the ideal candidate has proven previous experience of dealing with customers presenting with complex or challenging needs. This role is predominantly based within office hours of 9-5.30pm (flexibility with hours to be discussed at interview) working a 37.5hr week Monday to Friday. Duties and responsibilities Support <ul><li>Identify and deliver person centered support, identifying aspirations and need </li></ul><ul><li>Case work a small caseload of individuals focusing on successful, independent move on. </li></ul><ul><li>Develop professional relationships with a range of external agencies to collaboratively deliver support. </li></ul><ul><li>Actively engage with clients on a 1:1 basis, promote activities and meaningful use of time. </li></ul><ul><li>Support and motivate clients, encouraging them to achieve personal goals. </li></ul>Housing Management <ul><li>Work collaboratively with RMBC housing teams to aid positive move on </li></ul><ul><li>Support clients to maintain and sustain their accommodation whilst working towards more independent accommodation. </li></ul><ul><li>Support clients to complete and understand their occupancy and related documentation including move on applications, tenancy agreements, property inventory, applications for housing benefit. </li></ul><ul><li>Support clients to maximise their income, ensuring that housing and other welfare benefit claims are submitted and maintain </li></ul><ul><li>Clean and prepare rooms ready for relet </li></ul><ul><li>Manage accommodation adhering to Health and Safety regulations </li></ul>Qualifications and Experience <ul><li>Experience of providing support to vulnerable people in a housing environment. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience of working with individuals who have multiple and complex needs. </li></ul><ul><li>The ability to develop positive and proactive working relationships with hard to engage clients. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience of delivering Trauma Informed support. </li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of the Housing benefits and welfare benefit system. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience of Safety Planning / Risk Assessment and Support Planning. </li></ul><ul><li>Basic IT skills and effective case work. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. </li></ul>Essential Requirements <ul><li>Enhanced DBS </li></ul><ul><li>The right to work in the UK </li></ul>Don't meet every single requirement?
