Independent Living Scheme Project Officer

Lettings Officer - £36,435 pa The Lettings Officer will be part of the Tenant Services Team, providing a highly professional customer focused lettings service to applicants for Hightown's rented housing. Liaising with Local Authority Partners and Hightown's Housing Officers, the Lettings Officer will work to ensure that Hightown's rented homes are let swiftly and appropriately. Duties will include advertising properties, assessing applicants and preparing for tenancies to start; Working closely with local authorities the Lettings Officer, will seek to improve the level of service in response to demand for housing, regulatory requirements and best practice. Duties will include co-ordinating activity to turn around empty properties within target times, ensuring that sufficient and accurate information about properties is available to applicants, including the correct rent information, processing tenancy terminations, advertising properties, liaising with other Hightown departments regarding the timing of new builds and relets, processing nominations and applications, arranging viewings and maintaining Hightown's internal transfer list. Administrative processes to support this work are carried out by the Housing Management Administrators. Independent Living Maintenance Officer

Job Introduction The Care and Response Community Alarm Service helps people to feel safe and secure at home so they can live full and independent lives with the use of technology. We handle around 10,000 emergency calls per month and offer a mobile responder service to make visits to residents who need in-person support. We are recruiting an Operational Manager to oversee all functions of the service and ensure the continuous improvement, development and promotion of the support that we provide. This is a site based full-time role, working Monday to Friday office hours, but with the need to support outside of these times on occasions. Interviews for this role will take place W/C 13 January. Main Responsibility <ul> <li>Develop and maintain service level agreements for alarm monitoring contracts and out of hours services.</li> <li>Ensuring an adequate stock of equipment and negotiating contracts with suppliers.</li> <li>Manage the service budget, including debt management processes, and liaising with colleagues in Finance to ensure any over or underspends are reported in a timely manner.</li> <li>Provide operational management to a team of 23 colleagues, including the management of performance and absence, in line with Milton Keynes City Council policies and procedures.</li> <li>Ensure all colleagues are adequately trained and cover the service 24 hr/365 days per year.</li> <li>Have overall responsibility for the maintenance and updating of all relevant equipment, as well as our Disaster Recovery Site.</li> <li>Analyse and audit information and produce reports which may be shared with internal and external partners.</li> <li>To keep abreast of developments in assistive technology to ensure the service remains up to date and provides best outcomes for citizens.</li></ul>The Ideal Candidate <ul> <li>Hold a NVQ Level 4 in Management, or equivalent, or significant operational leadership experience.</li> <li>Working knowledge of Technology Enabled Care (TEC) as well as Telecare Service Association (TSA) standards.</li> <li>Able to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners.</li> <li>Able to use various IT systems and analyse data to measure performance and produce reports.</li> <li>For this role, the candidate is required to have a full UK driving licence, along with access to a vehicle.
