This will involve: <ul><li><ul><li>Supporting service users with mental health and wellbeing, by encouraging healthy activities and lifestyles, and signposting to services</li><li>Assisting with claims for housing and associated benefits to support residents' financial stability</li><li>Organising and managing a range of engaging activities to promote social inclusion</li><li>Playing a hands-on role in responding to incidents, completing room checks and ensuring properties are maintained</li><li>Maintaining accurate service user records and files</li><li>Performing regular security and fire safety checks</li></ul></li></ul>Our Requirements - Housing Support Worker <ul><li><ul><li>Ability to hold everyday conversations in Welsh or willingness to learn</li><li>Experience working in a client centred environment such as housing, care or similar (e.g., supporting individuals in reporting maintenance issues, making healthcare appointments, pursuing hobbies, securing training and employment, etc.)</li><li>Knowledge of the support needs of vulnerable people</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Hard working, with a positive 'can do attitude'</li><li>At least have basic IT skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook</li></ul></li></ul>Although not essential, an awareness of issues and support needs connected to homelessness and awareness of fire safety and security systems would be highly advantageous.
