About us

Shape an exceptional student living experience at UCL

UCL Accommodation is looking for an experienced and inspiring Accommodation Manager to lead the delivery of outstanding residential services across a cluster of student accommodation sites.

This is a key leadership role, combining people management, operational delivery, customer experience and commercial awareness. You will lead and develop accommodation teams, build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners, and ensure our residents experience a safe, welcoming and well-managed place to live.

About the role

You will lead a team providing clear direction, coaching and support while creating a positive, collaborative and high-performing culture. You will take responsibility for performance, development and service delivery, ensuring teams understand how their work contributes to wider UCL Accommodation objectives.

Working across multiple sites, you will oversee operational standards, customer satisfaction, health and safety, financial performance and supplier relationships. You will work closely with teams across UCL, including Estates, Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, Student Experience and Safety Services, as well as external contractors and suppliers.

You will also lead and support key operational projects, including summer turnaround, refurbishment and commercial activity, while identifying opportunities to improve services through customer feedback, performance data and best practice.

At the heart of the role is creating an environment where students feel safe, respected, supported and part of a community. You will engage with residents and student representatives, respond effectively to feedback and complaints, support community activities and ensure consistent student experience standards across your area.

You will be a visible and approachable leader who understands the needs of students and is committed to delivering a responsive, professional and caring service.
