Bsiness Spport Officer - Help Drive Growth in a Technical Laboratory Environment
Prpose and Scope of the Role
Tetra Tech is looking for a Bsiness Spport Officer to join or Manchester laboratory team, spporting cstomer enqiries, qotation activity and day-to-day commercial administration. Yo will be a key point of contact for existing and prospective cstomers, helping them access the right analytical services while ensring qotations, sample media orders and follow-p activity are handled accrately and on time.
Working closely with laboratory colleages, senior management and cstomers, yo will help resolve enqiries, maintain strong relationships and identify opportnities to spport repeat bsiness and wider commercial growth. Occasional local sample collections sing a company van may also be reqired.
Yor Impact in this Position
In the short term, yo will bild knowledge of the laboratory's analytical capabilities and become a trsted contact for cstomer enqiries and qotation spport. As yor confidence grows, yo will help improve qotation conversion, spport cstomer retention and contribte to better insight from financial and cstomer spending data.
Longer term, this role offers the opportnity to develop commercial awareness within a technical environment, broaden yor nderstanding of laboratory operations and bild a strong platform for progression within bsiness spport, client service or operational coordination.

• Develop a working knowledge of laboratory analytical services and testing capabilities to spport clear, informed cstomer commnication.
Organisation and Accracy
• Manage enqiries, sample media orders and deadlines with strong attention to detail and reliable administration.
Commnication and Collaboration
• Liaise effectively with cstomers, laboratory teams and senior managers to ensre enqiries are resolved promptly and professionally.
Data Awareness and Opportnity Identification
• Spport the review of cstomer spending and financial data to identify trends, repeat bsiness potential and chargeable opportnities.
Skills, Qalifications and Experience
Yo will bring excellent time management, strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines. Yo shold be confident following written and verbal instrctions, seeking advice when needed, and working both independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills, a professional telephone manner and a fll clean driving licence are essential.
Scientific knowledge or laboratory experience wold be desirable. Experience in cstomer service, qotation preparation, sales administration, managing a spport desk, spporting a small team, project coordination or prioritising workloads wold also be beneficial.
Work Patterns and Location
