We are seeking an exceptional Chief Executive to lead the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Northern Ireland’s strategic housing authority and one of the largest public landlords in the UK. We manage c.83,000 homes and, with an annual budget of c.£1.3billion, deliver a range of housing programmes and services. This gives us a significant social and economic impact across Northern Ireland.

This is a pivotal time to join us. Housing need is at unprecedented levels and we have set an ambitious long-term direction for public housing and services. We believe good housing can improve wellbeing, strengthen communities, support economic growth and help address climate change.

As Chief Executive, you will provide strategic leadership, setting a clear direction for the organisation and keep better outcomes for tenants, customers and communities at the heart of our work.

Building trusted and influential relationships will be central to your success as you work across government, housing and communities to shape decisions on housing need, supply, decarbonisation and wellbeing, while supporting continuous improvement across the organisation.

Guided by our values of making a difference, fairness, passion and expertise, you will inspire high performance, lead change and build a collaborative, customer-focused culture. As Chief Executive and Accounting Officer, you will also be accountable for public resources, governance and risk through the Department for Communities to the Northern Ireland Assembly.
