Help reinterpret Wales's national collections through the lens of homelessness
As Project Coordinator, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of The Esmee Fairbairn Communities & Collections Funded 'Unhoused' partnership project between The Wallich and Amgueddfa Cymru / National Museum Wales, helping to address the under-representation of homelessness within the heritage and museum sectors.
We are looking for a highly organised, collaborative co-ordinator who can build trusted relationships and work in a creative way. You will work closely with the Lived Experience Curator, the Lived Experience Group, project participants and colleagues across both organisations, creating the conditions for genuine co-production and equitable decision-making.
You will support people to explore and reinterpret collections, develop curatorial and oral-history skills, and gather new objects and stories. You will bring a psychologically and trauma-informed approach to every stage of the project, ensuring that participation is safe, accessible and meaningful and that safeguarding remains a clear priority.
The impact you will make will last beyond the funded project. Through effective co-ordination, reflective practice and shared learning, you will help create a permanent legacy in the National Collection and produce practical resources, events, toolkits and guidance that strengthen lived-experience-led practice across the museum and homelessness sectors.
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
