About you
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced press and communications officer to join our team, to help amplify CIH’s presence as the leading voice for the housing profession.
We’re seeking an individual with an eye for detail and excellent writing skills, with the ability to generate relevant, timely and engaging content for a variety of external channels and audiences. You’ll understand the media landscape, news agendas and how to create content with an engaging hook.
You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing priorities and managing multiple projects simultaneously. A strong team player, you'll enjoy collaborating with colleagues across the organisation while also being confident working independently, taking ownership of your work and using your initiative to deliver results.
You'll have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of colleagues, members, partners and stakeholders. Organised, adaptable and proactive, you'll enjoy working across a broad mix of communications projects and contributing to a busy, supportive and high-performing team.
Working alongside a team of creative and enthusiastic communications professionals, this role reports directly to the head of communications.

Salary range
- £35,819 - £39,645 per year
