This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. Regular travel between schemes across Southwark and regional offices is required, with occasional attendance at meetings outside normal working hours.
About you
You're resident focused, calm under pressure and comfortable working independently for much of the time. You enjoy being visible and present within a community setting and are confident managing sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
You will need:
- Experience working in care, support or housing related services, with an understanding of relevant legislation and good practice
- An understanding of the diverse needs of older people and the ability to provide appropriate support and signposting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively face to face, by phone and in writing
- Experience delivering excellent customer care and responding to complaints professionally
- The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively and prioritise competing demands
- A proactive, solution focused approach, with good negotiation and influencing skills
- Confidence using IT and mobile technology to maintain records, manage systems and support residents to use digital services
- A commitment to continuous improvement, learning and personal development
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Flexibility to travel across schemes and work extended hours where required to manage emergencies
