Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term for 6 Months Play a key role in making a difference to some of the most vulnerable people in the city. Our work is extremely challenging, but also extremely rewarding, changing lives for the better by tackling homelessness, building new homes, and strengthening communities. Engaging with people at a local level, we support them by delivering services that improve their lives. This is a full time, fixed term position working 37 hours per week (for 6 months). You'll be based at City Hall. What you'll be doing Working on the front line, you'll assist with the provision of a high-quality service to support people through the pathway into and out of council funded temporary accommodation. You'll work with customers who are homeless, or threatened with homelessness, and local landlords who are looking for advice, either face-to-face, or over the telephone. You'll provide support to those who may be struggling with substance misuse, break down in relationships, job loss, mental or physical health problems, facing domestic abuse, those being evicted, those who can no longer afford to pay their rent, and much more. What you will be doing You will lead a patch-based housing management team, inspiring confidence and delivering consistent, high-quality services. Your work will include: <ul><li>Providing day-to-day leadership, coaching and support to Housing Officers and Assistants.</li><li>Taking ownership of complex tenancy cases, including anti-social behaviour, safeguarding and tenancy breaches.</li><li>Ensuring vulnerable tenants receive the right support through close partnership working.</li><li>Working with caretakers and other teams to keep estates safe, clean and welcoming.</li><li>Monitoring performance and budgets, and reporting on outcomes.</li><li>Acting as a visible presence on estates, engaging with tenants, councillors and community groups.</li><li>Leading by example in delivering excellent customer service and promoting tenant engagement.</li></ul>This is a varied and rewarding role where you can see the difference you make every day, while developing your leadership and management skills.
