About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Recovery Coordinator to join a well-established substance misuse service in Lewisham on a full-time, fixed-term contract to cover staff absence.
This role will involve working across both the Primary Care Recovery Service (PCRS) and GP Shared Care Hubs, supporting adults with a range of substance misuse needs. The successful candidate will be confident managing a varied caseload and delivering high-quality, person-centred, recovery-focused interventions from day one.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of service users with alcohol, non-opiate, combined alcohol and non-opiate, and opiate (OST) support needs.
- Deliver comprehensive assessments, recovery planning, risk assessments, and regular reviews.
- Provide structured one-to-one interventions and ongoing key-working sessions.
- Support individuals to reduce harm and achieve their recovery goals.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, healthcare professionals, partner agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure all documentation is completed in line with organisational and clinical standards.
- Safeguard vulnerable adults and appropriately manage risk.
- Promote engagement, retention, and positive treatment outcomes.
- Previous experience working as a Recovery Coordinator, Recovery Worker, Substance Misuse Worker, Drug & Alcohol Worker, or similar.
- Experience supporting clients with alcohol, non-opiate, combined alcohol and non-opiate, and opiate (OST) treatment.
- Strong knowledge of harm reduction, recovery planning, safeguarding, and risk management.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and caseload management skills.
- Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced community service.
