Job Introduction

What you'll do

As a Supported Housing Assistant, you'll play an important role in helping residents feel safe, supported and connected within their communities. Working closely with Supported Housing Officers, you'll provide practical day-to-day support to residents, helping them sustain their tenancies, access services and maintain their wellbeing.

You'll be a visible presence within the scheme, building positive relationships with residents, their families, support providers and partner agencies. Through welfare checks, tenancy support, safeguarding awareness and community engagement, you'll help create a welcoming environment where residents can live well and thrive.

This role will initially be based at our Sussex Place office in Hammersmith. In due course, the role will relocate to another London location. Regular travel to sites in Barnet and East London will also be required as part of the role.

How you'll do it
  • Welcome new residents to the service, helping them settle into their home and understand the support available to them.
  • Carry out regular wellbeing, welfare and health and safety checks to ensure residents are safe and supported.
  • Identify support needs and signpost residents to appropriate internal and external services.
  • Support residents to understand and fulfil their tenancy obligations while promoting tenancy sustainment.
  • Work collaboratively with care providers, families, partner agencies and colleagues to deliver coordinated support.
  • Respond appropriately to complaints, anti-social behaviour, safeguarding concerns and other resident issues.
  • Report repairs, monitor contractor performance and help maintain safe, clean and welcoming communal areas.
  • Support resident engagement activities, community events and initiatives that enhance the lives of residents.
